Earlier this week at CES 2014, Sony announced the new WALKMAN™ app for select Sony Xperia™ mobile phones that will integrate your personal music files with Sony Entertainment Network’s Music Unlimited service, which offers a global catalog of over 25 million songs. Director of Music Services for Sony Entertainment Network, Anu Kirk took some time during CES to show you how to find new releases, popular songs, artists and more within the new WALKMAN™ app.
Here’s how to get started:
- Once you’ve downloaded the WALKMAN™ app to your Sony Xperia™ mobile phone, login with your existing Sony Entertainment Network account.
- From there you’ll be directed to the WALKMAN™ app homepage.
- Choose from a variety of options including:
- Charts – Find the current most popular songs, albums and artists
- New Releases – All of the latest albums
- Featured Playlists – Browse through playlists programmed by the Music Unlimited service’s expert editorial curation team.
- Music Library – This allows you to break down the walls between your local mp3 files on your Xperia™ phone and the Music Unlimited service. Browse them all in one view, whether their local or cloud based tracks.
